Typography Junkies Use Whims!
Are you using the Whims app yet?
It’s the latest social media craze. Sort of like Instagram for words.
“Whims is sort of like a classy meme generator, or a social network for casual typography junkies. It’s an iPhone app that turns a short message—about the length of a tweet—into a fancily laid-out, T-shirt-ready slogan.”

Slash, but don’t burn!
I’ve been on Twitter since 2008, and like many people I’ve had an on-off relationship with the social media platform depending on: workload, need to network, attention span, and in most cases, my mood!
Another element that can impact your Twitter experience is how many accounts you follow.
My advice is book yourself a once a year Twitter cull – go through your follow list and check which accounts are still relevant to you ~ ask yourself: is the account still active; what is the benefit following?
I performed a Twitter cull the other day; I culled over 1,200 accounts! And I have to tell you, I feel great after that — I instantly feel more in control of my Twitter management, and my Tweet stream looks cleaner and feels fresher. You should try it!
Tip #1 Don’t automatically follow every account that follows yours
Take the time to reflect on who you are following and why – based on tip #1, I decided that following 2,000+ people/orgs is just not effective for me. After years of Twitter experience I realize that less is more; and following people strategically, rather than randomly or out of obligation, leads to a much better experience.
Don’t stop Tweeting! But once in a while, do a Twitter tidy up!
